New Simcor Strengths Approved

The FDA approved Abbott’s Simcor (extended-release niacin/simvastatin) in 2 new dosage strengths, 500 mg niacin per 40 mg simvastatin and 1,000 mg niacin per 40 mg simvastatin. The medication is indicated to treat hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia.
