Generic Lovenox Approved

The FDA has approved Sandoz’s enoxaparin sodium injection, the first generic equivalent of Lovenox. Enoxaparin sodium injection is a low molecular weight heparin indicated for the prophylaxis and treatment of deep vein thrombosis, prophylaxis of ischemic complications of unstable angina and non—Q-wave myocardial infarction, and the treatment of acute ST-segment myocardial infarction [STEMI].
