New Immune Globulin Replacement Therapy Approved

The FDA has approved CSL Behring’s Hizentra (immune globulin subcutaneous [human]) 20% liquid as once-weekly replacement therapy for the treatment of patients with primary immunodeficiency. The no-refrigeration required, ready-to-use Hizentra formulation is the first FDA-approved 20% subcutaneous immunoglobulin and can be safely self-administered by patients under their health care provider’s supervision.
