Prefilled Norditropin Injection Pen Approved

The FDA has approved Novo Nordisk’s Norditropin FlexPro (somatropin [rDNA origin] injection) for use in children and adults with growth hormone disorders. The prefilled injection pen is user-friendly, requires no reconstitution or loading of cartridges, and can be left at room temperature for up to 3 weeks without risk of spoilage after the first use. The medication will be available in the second quarter of 2010.
