Revised Kaletra Prescribing Information

The FDA has approved revised prescribing information for Abbott Laboratories’ Kaletra (lopinavir/ritonavir) to include drug-drug interaction information for concurrent Kaletra administration with inhaled medicines, including salmeterol, salmeterol in combination with fluticasone propionate (Serevent, Advair), and sildenafil (Revatio). Revised guidelines were also approved for the patient counseling and Medication Guide sections of the prescribing information. Kaletra is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in combination with other antiretroviral agents.
